What to do if the dialogue doesn't proceed smoothly when you press the light bulb button (think button)

If the dialogue does not proceed smoothly when you press the light bulb button (think button), please check the following and take action.

1. Is the surrounding environment quiet? -
It may be that the device picks up sounds from the television or other nearby conversations, making it difficult to distinguish between what your child is saying and the surrounding sounds, so please make sure the surrounding environment is quiet.

2. Make sure your fingers or hands are not covering the microphone (where sound is picked up) on your tablet or smartphone.
If your fingers or hands are covering the microphone when holding your tablet or smartphone, sound may not be picked up.

3. If neither 1 nor 2 above improves the situation
, or if the conversation does not proceed smoothly, there are two possible reasons: the device is picking up too much sound, or not picking up enough sound.

Please press the settings button in the app (the gear icon at the bottom right of the top screen).

・If you are picking up too much noise and it is not progressing smoothly

Please set the microphone sensitivity to "Low" in "App Settings" and try again.

・If you are unable to pick up sound and conversation is not going smoothly,

Please press the settings button in the app (the gear icon at the bottom right of the top screen), go to "App Settings", set the microphone sensitivity to "High", and try again.

*In many cases it is difficult to determine whether the sound is being picked up too much or not at all. In such cases, we apologize for the inconvenience, but please try setting it to "low" and if that does not improve the situation, please try setting it to "high".

4. If you are unable to pick up sound even after taking the steps above, or if you are unable to use the device in a quiet place, such as when you are out and about,

- Press the settings button in the app (the gear icon at the bottom right of the top screen).

Go to "App Settings" and change "Automatic Recording Stop" from "ON" to "OFF" and register.
By setting it to "OFF," when you press the light bulb button (think button) during the curriculum and your child speaks, a square "Stop button" will appear, allowing your child to control when the conversation stops.

Please press the light bulb button (think button) and have your child share their thoughts, then press the square "stop button" to move forward with the curriculum.
