The gap between current education and future skills

The World Economic Forum listed the following 10 skills as being necessary in the future:
1. The ability to solve complex problems
2. The ability to analyze objectively and appropriately
3. The ability to create new things
4. The ability to develop and manage people
5. The ability to collaborate with others to accomplish things
6. The ability to control one's own and others' emotions
7. The ability to make judgments and decisions
8. The ability to please others
9. The ability to discuss things thoroughly with others and reach mutually satisfying agreements
10. The ability to correctly recognize a situation and prioritize multiple thoughts/tasks
The graph below compares these 10 skills with the current situation.
Currently, the main methods of learning for the main subjects in elementary school are through parental education and cram schools.
It is certainly possible to acquire the 10 skills that will be needed in the future through the course of study.
However, it is also true that specific learning methods for the required skills have not yet been established.
Knowledge is very important, but the current learning environment focuses on "knowledge," and it is not clear how to acquire the 10 skills that will be needed in the future through "Japanese," "math," "science," "social studies," and "English" studied at school, home study, or cram school.
We believe there is a huge gap between the skills needed and the current teaching and learning methods.
Therefore, we have mapped the skills you can gain at maria@home and the type of person you will develop to 10 skills that will be needed in the future.
As a result, as shown in the diagram on the right, the skills gained through Maria@home and the character created through MariaProject can be said to contain 10 skills.
We have verified whether the basic skills acquired and the type of person created are being created.
One of our missions is to bridge the gap between current education and the skills that will be required in the future through MariaProject.
