Q. What kind of personality does your child have? What does he or she like to do now?

I get the impression that he's not a very sociable type outside, but perhaps he feels safe at home, as he's a very childlike child! When his parents aren't around, he's not the type to run around outside with his friends, but rather likes to stay indoors writing or creating something.

Also, perhaps because he is still young, I get the impression that he is a little bad at expressing his thoughts and opinions to others. I think he is rather a man of few words.

As for what he's into right now, he seems to really enjoy making and writing. He's taking lessons in those areas, and he looks forward to them every time. He also bought blocks as a Christmas gift, and he was excited to put them together. He read the instructions and put them together by himself without our help, and we were amazed at his concentration.

Q: Is your child currently taking lessons?

I've been learning cheerleading since I was in kindergarten. I think one of the things I like about it is that the costumes are cute. I still enjoy going to the classes.

After she started elementary school, she also started attending a cram school in the apartment building where she lives. She solves math problems twice a week for 30 minutes each time. It seems to have become a habit now. As a girl, it's very convenient that she can go to school in 0 minutes on foot, which is safe and secure.

Q. Do you have any educational principles at home?

I think each child has their own personality, so I don't have any particular desire to "make my child a certain type!", but I think that being able to communicate your feelings and thoughts to others is the bare minimum necessary to survive in society. I do want them to acquire that ability. I don't expect much more than that.

Q. Are there any worries you have about raising children or in your daily life?

Yes, there is.

In fact, this was one of the reasons why I came across Kikasete.

My wife and I have both been the type to say "me! me!" since we were little (laughs).

I was a bit of a joker, and I loved making people laugh, so I wasn't afraid to be in the spotlight. My wife also enjoyed playing outside, was good at sports, and was good at talking to people.

I sometimes feel that our daughter's communication skills with others are still weak, so I would like to help her develop these skills further.

I think that from now on, it will be very important to realize the need to communicate one's own thoughts, and then to be able to actually communicate what one feels and thinks.

I want my daughter to realize that "it's not shameful to tell others how you feel, it's very important," but because she's still so young, I often find it difficult.

Q. How did you find out about KIKASETE?

I personally use AI on a regular basis for work and research, and in order to solve the parenting problems I mentioned earlier, I searched for "What are your top three educational apps for 6-year-olds?" and Kikasete came up at the top of the results!

Reading a picture book is easy, but having questions about the book you've read and answering them takes the act to the next level. I was impressed by the great concept, and that's what prompted me to start using it.

Then I put it on my tablet and started using it, and now I use it almost every day!

Q: What do you think after actually starting to use it?

I honestly think it's a great app!

It covers everything a child needs to continue.

One is that boy and girl characters appear and call the child's (registered) name. From the child's perspective, it makes them happy because they call their name. They seem to think of the characters as close friends.

Another thing is stamps. Kids love collecting things, don't they? They seem to enjoy the special stamps that come out every few days! I think it's great that they keep wondering what they'll get next, which helps to make it a habit.

Similarly, there are certificates you can get if you keep doing something for a week. Even as a child, she thinks, "I did my best for a week!" and that continuing to do something is something to be praised for.

Parents don't have to force their children to play Kikasete, but rather it's designed in a way that makes children want to play it naturally, which I think is a great design!

Actually, I used to work in IT, so I think it's amazing how they design apps that take into account the user's experience. It's an app that I would pay to keep using!

Q. When do you usually use Kikasete?

I often use it before going to bed.

When I have more time, like on weekends, I sometimes use it in the morning.

My daughter loves it so much that she now uses it almost every day!

Q. What do you particularly like about KIKASETE?

The characters listen to your thoughts about the contents of the picture book and give you feedback on what you say. I particularly like that because it gives you an opportunity to express your own thoughts.

From a parent's perspective, it's not just about reading a picture book, but also about being able to express in words how the book made them feel and what thoughts they came to after reading it. I think it's amazing that it encourages such behavior, and I feel like it's a great form of training.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't know about it yet!

It has a wide range of book genres, and it's free, so I'm always wondering if it's really free! (lol) I really hope they start monetizing it in the future so I can continue using it in the future!

Q. Have you noticed any changes before and after using KIKASETE?

I used to have difficulty expressing my feelings and thoughts, but by using Kikasete every day, I feel like I'm gradually improving.

I think it's really worth doing every day!

Q. What does the Kikasete app mean to your family?

It's a companion app that helps you watch over your child's growth!

I think the concept of not just reading a book and being done with it, but taking the act of reading to the next level by thinking about how it makes you feel, is fantastic!

I feel like they are there for me every day to read picture books to me.

I really hope they start charging properly in the future! I don't usually play subscription-based apps, but Kikasete is an exception. I wanted to let the people who run it know, so I decided to take part in this interview! I really support them!

\Editor's Note/

While valuing the individuality of each child, we want them to learn to communicate their thoughts to others, which is important for their future lives.

Kikasete, which has been endorsed by IT professionals, allows children to enjoy reading picture books every day while also developing the ability to express their own feelings!

I once again felt that they are truly a strong ally that watches over your child's growth!
