[User feedback] An app that has become an indispensable part of my life and helps me spend precious time communicating with my daughter!

Name: Kumiko Kanno

Child 7 years old (girl)

Usage period: approximately 4 months

Frequency of use: almost every day

Q: How did you find out about KIKASETE?

I first came across KIKASETE around March of this year.

My daughter is currently attending a special needs class and is a little slow at speaking, so I've always thought that reading picture books to her would be a good idea. I also wanted her to have the experience of reading books on her own, so I was looking for a good app and found Kikasete.

Of course, you can read picture books to your child, but there are also many other features that children will enjoy, such as the ability to receive stamps and certificates. I first tried it out and thought it looked fun, so I started using it with my daughter.

Now my daughter loves it too, and she says "Let's play Kikasete!" almost every night!

Q: Please tell us about your usual daily schedule and when you use Kikasete.

There are seven siblings in my family, and the five youngest are currently living with us, so it's always lively and busy!

5:30 Husband wakes up and makes lunch

6:40 Head to my son's high school

7:30 Children go to elementary school

8:00 Work

18:00 Return home and prepare dinner

20:30 Dinner

10:00 PM - Bedtime

It's been really hectic since I got home... Video apps have been a lifesaver every day.

After dinner and before bedtime, each sibling has their own time.

For this reason, I often use Kikasete after eating and before going to bed.

In fact, I use it almost every day! Recently, there happened to be two days where I hadn't done it, and when I looked at the calendar, my daughter and I were both surprised and said, "What! I haven't done it for two days!?" (laughs) It's become such an essential part of my daily routine.

Q. What kind of personality does your child have? What does he or she like to do now?

She's usually cheerful and puts people at ease with her smile. She's also kind, and even when she wakes up earlier than me on her days off, she won't wake me up and will just wait for me to play quietly.

At school, it's basically the same as at home. I went to observe a class the other day, and it was impressive to see how well the students were working on their lessons and assignments, even if they were going at a leisurely pace.

She loves pretending to be something, and right now she often plays princesses. Disney princesses are a classic!

Recently, I've been enjoying going to nearby places where I can interact with animals. I'm also interested in riding ponies and interacting with animals.

At home, he seems to be interested in my cooking, and when I ask him to help, he tries his best to help.

Q. Do you have any educational principles at home?

I don't have any deep discussions with my husband, but I do want him to be a considerate person. I don't expect much more than that.

I always think that disciplining children is extremely difficult. I have seven children, and they all have different personalities, so I think it's wrong for parents to decide how to discipline their children.

I've raised seven siblings, and I realize that when my oldest children were little, I was particularly busy with work and didn't have much time to spend with them, so now I want to cherish the time I spend with my children.

Q: Are there any worries you are currently experiencing?

I don't have any particular worries about raising my children, but I am worried that I can't get rid of fatigue, perhaps because my physical strength is declining with each passing year. There are many things that need to be done every day, including housework, but the reality is that I just can't keep up.

He doesn't take out his anger on his children, but I feel like he's become more irritable, perhaps because he's tired.

If I had to say what I do to make things easier, I'd say it's to take it easy just a little (laughs). I feel like it's important to have fun like that, like inviting my husband over for dinner after work.

My husband helps me with the housework and childcare, which is a great help.

KIKASETE has also been a big help. I want to read aloud to my children, but I also think it's good to be able to listen to it with them when I'm tired.

Q. How do you usually use KIKASETE?

He often uses it with me. We enjoy flipping through the pages and chatting together!

After finishing the picture book, the character answers questions enthusiastically. What's more, it calls children by name! My daughter seems to be very happy about that. At first, I thought, "My daughter will love this," and it was exactly that!

Q. Have you noticed any changes since you started using KIKASETE?

My daughter absolutely loves Kikasete, so she now speeds up getting ready for bed so that we can play Kikasete every night! I can really tell that she's looking forward to it!

Also, because she is still young, it can be difficult to control her emotions when she is tired, but when I say, "Let's play Kikasete," her eyes light up, so I sometimes feel like it is helping to stabilize her emotions.

Q. What is your favorite thing about KIKASETE?

You can get stamps, choose your own picture books, and talk to characters, but I also love that it can be linked to LINE so you can hear your child talking!

When I listen to the voice message that arrives after she finishes reading, I can see that she has grown a lot since we first started using Kikasete, with her responses, the way she uses words, and the order in which she speaks. I can sense a change, as if my daughter is gradually beginning to understand words in her own way.

Of course, I think that elementary school and other factors have had an influence, but Kikasete asks the same questions repeatedly, so I think that this is having a positive influence on my daughter.

Q. How do you use other videos and apps? Are there any rules for using them?

I try to be careful not to watch videos for too long as possible. I think watching videos for long periods of time can have a negative effect on not only your eyes, but also your mind.

It can be difficult to quit right away, but my parents and siblings encourage me to do so.

Q. What does Kikasete mean to your family?

For us, it has become a part of our daily lives! We would panic if we weren't doing it (lol). It's that essential!

She loves collecting stamps, and getting them seems to be a great motivation for her. There are lots of fun features, so we're really happy that our daughter is having so much fun using it.

\Editor's Note/

As she continued to enjoy using KIKASETE, she told us that she noticed a change in her daughter's use of words and that her understanding of language had deepened.

I'm happy that I can help them with their precious time, and I feel that Kikasete is the perfect app for modern families who are busy every day but don't want to give up time and communication with their precious children!
