[Reasons for the change and the Kikasete team's thoughts]
① All content is displayed vertically.
The "speech function" allows children to answer verbally, and the character's response changes depending on the answer.
Smartphones and tablets often have microphones at the bottom, and when the device is held in landscape orientation, the hand holding the device may come into contact with the microphone, which may have contributed to reducing the accuracy of voice recognition.
Also, by unifying all screens vertically, you will no longer have to switch between portrait and landscape orientation.
② Changes to curriculum content
At KIKASETE, we aim to "develop the ability to derive one's own correct answer to questions that have no correct answer."
"Questions with a correct answer" are questions that can be answered not only by humans but also by machines, and we believe that in this age of advanced AI, what is required of humans is to deal with "questions that have no correct answer."
Within KIKASETE, the "speech function" is what "develops the ability to arrive at one's own correct answer to questions that have no correct answer."
Based on the above, we decided to structure the daily curriculum around the "speech function."
However, knowledge is also necessary to think broadly and deeply about things.
KIKASETE's "Quiz" is a cross-disciplinary quiz that allows you to see things from multiple perspectives.
The "Quiz" section will no longer be included in the curriculum, but we are currently renovating it to make it even more enjoyable, so please wait until it is released.
3. Major update to the "Bookshelf" function
Thanks to the cooperation of many people, including picture book authors and narrators, we have been able to publish over 250 picture books to date.
Thanks to you, the number of picture books has increased, but the previous Bookshelf required you to scroll horizontally to find a book, so we received feedback that "I want to read my favorite book, but I can't find it."
They also produce unique original picture books, such as "picture books" and the upcoming "Talmudic picture books," and have a wide variety of picture books available.
First, by arranging them in an illustrated book format, it became clear at a glance which picture books I had read and how many I hadn't read yet.
Furthermore, if you set your favorites, you can create your own personal bookshelf filled with only your favorites.
A genre classification function has also been added, allowing you to read picture books according to your mood.
[Finally]
We have created this app with a strong desire to provide a good service that will help children develop the ability to find their own answers to questions that have no correct answer, and that will be enjoyed by children.
We hope you understand and enjoy the new features.
